The University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving team continued summer action at the University Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus. The Mach 3 Flyers 9th Annual Summer Swim was a two-day meet consisted of girls and women's competition, which started on July 24.
Jennifer Hasling won the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.88, while incoming freshman Andrea Hanson finished second overall in a time of 29.07. Hanson was accepted to the University in April of this year. Hasling finished second in the 100 free (1:01.00), the 100 back (1:08.01) and the 200 back (2:27.20). Hanson also competed in the 100 free placing sixth (1:03.68), fourth in the 100 back (1:01.75) and third in the 200 back (2:30.33). Hanson also competed in the 200 individual medley, placing fourth (2:35.37) and the 400 IM and placed fifth (5:29.72). Sharon Leary competed in the 200 fly and finished with a time of 2:31.07 and third overall.
