The third and final day of the Championships began this morning with time trials in Minnesota’s home pool. The 15-degree weather didn’t stop the University Aquatic Center from heating up.

Time Trials

200 Breast

Kierra Smith finished the preliminary 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:07.58 and will head to the Championship Finals tonight seeded 7th in the event. This trial time marks Kierra’s 3rd best time, Smith’s best time stands at 2:06.43 in the 200 breast.

400 Free Relay

The relay team of Lauren Votava, Rebecca Weiland Tori Simenec, and Jessica Plant finished with a time of 3:16.34 for 13th place. They will head to the consolation finals tonight in the last event of the Championships.

Platform Diving

Maggie Keefer and Jessica Ramberg will representing the Golden Gophers in platform diving. Diving is scheduled to begin at 1:30pm CT.

1650 Free – All but last heat of time finals

The 1650 Free is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm CT this afternoon. For Minnesota, Breanne Siwicki, Sam Harding, and Kiera Janzen will be competing in the mile.


 

 

Finals will begin at 7pm and will be broadcasted on ESPN3 if you can’t make it to the University Aquatic Center.
