The third and final day of the Championships began this morning with time trials in Minnesota’s home pool. The 15-degree weather didn’t stop the University Aquatic Center from heating up.
Kierra Smith finished the preliminary 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:07.58 and will head to the Championship Finals tonight seeded 7th in the event. This trial time marks Kierra’s 3rd best time, Smith’s best time stands at 2:06.43 in the 200 breast.
400 Free Relay
The relay team of Lauren Votava, Rebecca Weiland Tori Simenec, and Jessica Plant finished with a time of 3:16.34 for 13th place. They will head to the consolation finals tonight in the last event of the Championships.
1650 Free – All but last heat of time finals
Finals will begin at 7pm and will be broadcasted on ESPN3 if you can’t make it to the University Aquatic Center.
