swimmersThe Golden Gopher women's swim team finished its second day at the Speedo Champions Series at the University Aquatic Center, held on the University of Minnesota campus. The Gophers had four swimmers compete in the A Final.
The Gophers opened the second day with three members in the A Final of the 50 freestyle event. Sarah Perrott held the top spot for the Gophers, placing second overall with meet record of 23.36. However, Emily Dominski (NSTC-ILL) clocked a time of 23.22, also breaking the meet record and earning the top spot in the event. Erin O'Neil chipped in a time of 23.87 for fourth place, while Sara Vine was fifth with a time of 23.97.
Mary Patrek placed eighth overall with an A Final time of 2:21.81 in the 200 breaststroke event. Jennifer Chang had a time of 5:05.86 in the 500 free, while Jennifer Warmington clocked a time of 5:07.87, also in the 500 free.
The Gophers conclude the Speedo Section Meet, tomorrow, at the University Aquatic Center.
