Why did you decide to swim for Minnesota?
I decided to swim for Minnesota because it felt like home. I think I will fit in well with the team. I have also had some great personal connections to the program and believe the coaches will help me reach my full potential as a swimmer.
What are you looking forward to the most with starting your Golden Gopher collegiate career?
I am really looking forward to being a part of a brand new team ant the memories I will make with my teammates. I am also excited to be able to swim with such awesome coaches and to see where they will take me with my swimming career!
Thus far, what has been your best or most proud swimming memory?
My best memories in swimming have been when I am recognized and congratulated by my coaches after I race. I have had some great coaches that have supported me and have been there with big hugs and congratulations, as well as words of encouragement when things didn’t go as well. That enthusiasm for my swimming and the sport in general has been very inspiring and something that has encouraged me throughout my swimming career. Having that support going into college makes me very proud.
What do you like to do for fun besides swimming?
Besides swimming, I enjoy reading, photography and ceramics when I get the chance. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and following a few TV shows obsessively.
How do you think you will contribute to the Gopher swimming and diving program?
I believe I will contribute to the team with a strong work ethic, an ambition to continue improving, and desire to support my teammates. I enjoy cheering on others, and look forward to being a part of the team’s success!
