Senior Maggie Keefer was named Diver of the Week recognized by the Big Ten Conference. The announcement, which came on Tuesday, Feb. 4, followed the University of Minnesota women’s swimming and diving team victories over Purdue and Wisconsin at the B1G Triple Duals.
Both the one-meter and three-meter were contested on Friday, January 31. Maggie had a top score for the one-meter with a 318.00. On the three-meter board, Maggie scored a 318.70 for a silver place finish behind a Purdue diver.
Maggie Keefer's diving success has definitely aided to the Gopher's 9-0 record this season. She is currently preparing for her last B1G Championships and NCAA Championships of her collegiate career. Keefer took second place at last year's NCAA Championships on the one-meter board.
The Women's Big Ten Championships and the Women's NCAA Championships will be held at the University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Make sure to come cheer Maggie and the rest of the Gopher Women on!
