The University of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletics Department has announced that tickets are now available for the 2007 Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 8-10 at the University Aquatic Center on the U of M campus. Minnesota will look to contend for a Big Ten Championship title with the events starting on Thursday, Feb. 8. Minnesota finished second in the championships a year ago and walked away with three Big Ten titles and broke eight school records. Yuen Kobayashi was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Minnesota coaches Kelly Kremer and Terry Nieszner were named Co-Big Ten Coaches of the Year in just their second season at the helm of Gopher women's swimming and diving.
The University Aquatic Center will also play host to the 2007 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, March 8-10, followed by the 2007 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, March 15-17. It is the first time in NCAA history that a facility has hosted both the women's and men's national championships in the same year.
