The No. 21 University of Minnesota will compete in its final regular season meet as the Golden Gophers host the Minnesota Challenge, Jan. 26-17 at the University Aquatic Center. The Gophers will open the competition on Friday at 6 p.m, and will follow with two sessions on Saturday at noon and 6 p.m. Live results will be available on www.gophersports.com.
COMPETING AT THE MINNESOTA CHALLENGE
Along with the Gopher men's and women's teams, Minnesota will host 11 teams this weekend. The Minnesota Challenge will feature eight teams from Minnesota, two from South Dakota and one from North Dakota. Competing in the event will be Augsburg (women), St. Benedict's (women), Hamline (men and women), Macalester (men and women), Minnesota State University, Moorhead (women), Minnesota State University, Mankato (men and women), South Dakota State (men and women), St. John's (men), University of Minnesota-Morris (women), North Dakota (men and women) and South Dakota (men and women).

The University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving team will honor its seniors this weekend in Erika Bjorklund, Jenny Chang, Jaclyn Gazvoda, Jenny Hasling, Holly Jakits, Krista Kezbers, Lindsey St. Martin and Valerie Tukey.

The Gophers will take time off to prepare for the Big Ten Championships at their very own University Aquatic Center, Feb. 8-10. The preliminary heats begin at 11 a.m., followed with finals at 7 p.m. Diving action begins at 1 p.m. After hosting the Gopher-IT Invite on Sunday, Feb. 18, the Gophers then host the NCAA Championships, March 8-10.
