Dana Baum continued her powerful year with wins in the 200 (1:50.68), 500 (4:57.67) and 1000 (10:06.74) freestyles. Baum's 200 time set a meet record, while her 1000 time set both the meet and pool records. Baum also anchored the second place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:28.73).
In her first meet of the season, Australian newcomer Rebecca Cornthwaite placed second in the one-meter diving competition and qualified for NCAA Zones with her score of 270.08. Cornthwaite also placed fourth in the three-meter with a score of 277.50.
Sophomore Megan Moore won the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes, swimming 57.74 and 2:02.23, respectively. Her 200 time was also a meet and pool record. Also garnering wins for the Gophers was junior Keri Hehn, who placed first in the 100 (1:03.86) and 200- yard (2:16.26) breaststrokes. Her 200 time once again set pool and meet records for the Golden Gophers.
Up next, the Gophers travel to Lafayette, Ind. on Feb. 1-2 to compete in the Quad Duals verses Big Ten schools Illinois, Wisconsin and Purdue.
