Gophers Finish Day One of NCAA Zone Diving

The University of Minnesota women's diving team wrapped up the first day of NCAA Zone Diving Monday night at The University of Houston's Campus Recreation & Wellness Center.

Junior Maggie Keefer finished fourth in 3 meter diving to lead the Gophers with a total score of 660.95. Katy Etterman finished 14th in the event with a 570.65, while Sarah McCrady came in 17th with a score of 563.65.

Zone D of NCAA Zone Diving continues Tuesday with women's 1 meter diving at 11am and platform diving Wednesday also at 11am at the University of Houston Campus Recreation & Wellness Center.

The women divers who are given berths will move on to compete at the NCAA Championships March 21-23 in Indianapolis, Ind.
