The senior concluded her career as a nine-time All-American.

2010-2011 Junior Season: finished twelfth in the 400 IM at the Big Ten Championship (4:16.46) Swam three NCAA `B' qualifying times on three consecutive nights at the Minnesota Grand Prix in the 500 (4:48.26) and 1,650 (16:38.03) freestyle and the 400 IM (4:14.91) Runner-up in 500 free at Wisconsin dual (10/29) Won 1,000 free at Michigan State dual (10/9) finished second in the 200 and 500 free at Michigan dual (10/8) Academic All-Big Ten honoree earned third varsity letter
2009-10 Sophomore Season: Made her second trek to the NCAA Championships swam the Gophers' fastest time in the 400 IM (4:17.71) and the third-fastest in the 500 free (4:45.78) Academic All-Big Ten honoree ranked fifth on the team in dual meet points with 76, and had 16.5 points at the Big Ten Championships won the 500 free and the 200 IM and placed second behind sister Ashley in the 200 free at the Wisconsin dual (10/30) won the 1,000 free at the Iowa dual (11/6) earned a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM and helped the 800 free relay to a win at the Minnesota Grand Prix (11/13) had a great OSU Invite meet clocked a 500 free provisional qualifying time and a career-best 4:45.78 at the OSU Invite (12/4) won the 400 IM in a provisional time of 4:17.71 and helped the 800 free relay to a win at the OSU Invite placed second in the 500 free and the 200 IM at the SWCCC earned a second-place finish in the 400 IM at Quad Duals (1/30) helped the 800 free to its best season time of 7:09.14 at the Big Ten Championships (2/17).

Personal: Born October 21, 1990 daughter of Jake and Debbie Steenvoorden twin sister, Ashley, also a member of the Gopher swimming team also has two brothers, Anthony and Jeremy math education major.
