Minnesota featured 16 programs with at least one Distinguished Scholar Award winner for the 2012-13 academic year.
The sophomore is the sixth Gopher swimmer to earn academic all-district honors.
For the second year in a row, gymnast Nathan Fortunato posted an unblemished 4.0 GPA.
Student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and be in their second academic year at an institution to earn the honor.
It marked the third time in program history that the Gophers finished in the top-10 nationally.
