Freshmen Shine as Gophers Defeat Iowa State on the Road

Rookies post seven of Minnesota's 13 victories in the win.

2012-13 Junior Season: Finished fifth in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 free at Kansas (10/20) •placed fourth in the 50 free and swam in the 200 medley and 400 free relay against Iowa State (10/12).

2011-12 • Sophomore Season:
Placed sixth in the 100 breast (1:08.79) at the Kansas Dual • finished fourth in the 50 free (25.11) and fifth in the 100 free (54.68) vs Iowa State • also member of the first place 400 free relay and fifth place 200 medley relay at the Iowa State Dual • placed eighth in the 100 free (54.03) against Michigan • Academic All-Big Ten.

2010-11 • Freshman Season
: finished fifth in the 50 free at the Minnesota Challenge with a time of 24.36 • finished fourth in the 50 and 100 free style at Michigan State dual with times of 24.67 and 53.55 respectively (10/9) • earned first varsity letter

High School: A 2010 graduate of Stillwater High School • coached by Brian Luke • competed for the STAR Swim Club under coach Paul Lundsten • a multiple NSCA All-American • a 10-time all-state performer in helping Stillwater to four Minnesota 2A team titles and six Minnesota True Team crowns • a member of three state champion relays • as a junior helped 200 free relay to all-time state record • also competed in 50 and 100 free races at state as a junior and senior • a six-time letterwinner • a two-time Junior Nationals qualifier • also competed in Nordic skiing and track during high school • graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and ranked first in a class of 709 students.

Personal: Born Sept. 18, 1991 • majoring in biomedical engineering • the daughter of Kurt and Tess Radecke • has older sister, Meagan, and younger brother, Vince • Meagan was a letterwinner for the Gophers and Vince is currently a member of the Gopher men's team.
