2013-14 Junior Season: Three-time All-American at the 2014 NCAA Championships, placing 7th in the 500 Free, 6th in the 800 Free Relay, 20th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 1650 Free (3/20-3/22) At the 2014 B1G Championships, Janzen placed 5th in the 200 Free, 4th in the 500 Free, 1st in the 800 Free Relay and 9th in the 1650 Free (2/19-2/22) At the Triple Dual, Kierra placed 1st in the 500 Free, 800 Free Relay and 1000 Free (1/31-2/1) Took home 1st in both the 500 Free and 1000 Free vs. NC State (1/24-1/25) Placed 1st in the 500 and 100 Freestyle at Hawaii (1/11) Finished 3rd in the 200 Back, 7th in the 200 IM, 2nd in the 100 Free, 1st in the 400 Free Relay, and 5th in the 200 Free Relay at the 2013 Jean Freeman Invite (12/6-12/7) At the Grand Prix, Janzen 2nd in the 200 Free, 1st in the 500 Free, 1st in the 800 Free Relay, and 1st in the 1650 Free (11/14-11/16) Against Iowa, Janzen placed 4th in the 100 Free, 1st in the 400 Free Relay and 1st in the 200 Free (11/1) Took home 1st place in 5 events vs. Wisconsin including the 400 Free Relay, 500 Free, 200 Free, 800 Free Relay and 1650 Free (10/18-10/19) Against Michigan, Janzen took 1st in the 1000 Free, 1st in the 500 Free and 1st in the 400 Free Relay (10/11) Finished 1st in the 500 Free and 2nd in the 200 Free vs. Arizona State (10/5).
2012-13 Sophomore Season: Three-time All-American at the 2013 NCAA Championships (3/21) earned first team accolades as a member of the 800 free relay, placing eighth with a time of 7:02.77 earned honorable mention honors in the 500 free, placing 15th, and the 1650 free, placing 11th Second Team All-Big Ten finished second in the 200 free (1:45.20), 500 free (4:35.70), 1650 free (16:04.05) and as a member of the 800 free relay at the 2013 Big Ten Championships (2/20), posting career-best times in all three individual event her time of 4:35.70 in the 500 free was a program record and the second-fastest time in Big Ten history won the 200 free and placed third in the 100 free at Kansas (10/20) swam in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay as well as placing fourth in the 200 back against Iowa State (10/12) notched first-place finishes in the 1,000 free and 500 free, finished fourth in the 200 free and also placed second as a member of the 400 free relay at Michigan (10/5) Academic All-Big Ten letterwinner.
2011-12 Freshman Season: Made her freshman debut at the NCAA Championships placed 24th in the 1,650 free (16:25.06) also finished 39th in the 500 free (4:46.44) and 48th in the 200 free (1:47.92) earned all top times at the Big Ten Championships while placing in three events placed fifth in the 500 free with a time of 4:42.48 (4:41.75- prelims) finished 10th in both the 200 free (1:47.17) and 1,650 free (16:22.13) earned a top time in the 1,000 free against Missouri for third place (9:55.51) won the 500 free at the Quad Duals, against Hawaii and vs. Kansas member of the winning 800 free relay at the Grand Prix CSCAA Scholar All-American letterwinner.

Personal: Born February 4, 1993 daughter of Lisa and Peter Janzen has two older siblings, Aly (25) and Nate (23) Aly swam at St. Olaf College Nate ran cross country and track at Wartburg College parents participated in Hamline University athletics majoring in journalism and political science enjoys sailing, movies, reading and spending time with friends and family.
