Maggie Keefer received top honors from the Big Ten Conference Tuesday afternoon, as she was named the Diver of the Year by the league's head coaches.
2012-13 Junior Season: Named Big Ten Diver of the Week two times (10/30 and 10/16) won 1 meter and finished second in 3 meter diving at Kansas (10/20) won 1 meter (289.72) and 3 meter (302.25) diving against Iowa State (10/12)placed third in both 3 meter and 1 meter diving at Michigan (10/5).
2011-12 Sophomore Season: Placed in three events at the NCAA Championships placed fifth in 1-meter (332.40) finished 12th in 3-meter (321.40) and 15th in platform (245.75) earned top finishes at the Big Ten Championships finished runner-up withon the 1-meter board (334.40) and 3-meter board (370.25) placed fourth in platform with a score of 288.15 named the Co-Big Ten Diver of the Championships earned a top timewinning 1-meter diving at the Minnesota Challenge (346.35) as well as taking firston the 3-meter board (340.80) claimed first place in 1-meter diving eight different times all season and won 3-meter five different times CSCAA Scholar All-American Academic All-Big Ten letterwinner.
2010-11 Freshman Season: Qualified for NCAA Championships in her first year in three events placed eleventh in the 1-meter (299.00) to earn honorable mention All-America honors placed fifth at Big Ten Championships in 1-meter and also scored in both 3-meter and platform won the 1-meter diving event in each of the Gophers' first three meets set 1-meter diving meet record at Michigan dual (10/8) was named the Big Ten Diver of the Week after winning the 1-meter diving event and helping the Minnesota to a dual-meet victory over Iowa State tallying 283.80 points second Gopher this season to earn a Conference weekly award joining Jillian Tyler earned first varsity letter.
High School: Graduate of Stillwater Area High School (2010) swan under the instruction of Brian Luke dove under the instruction of Carrie Madline selected as an All-American in 9th, 10th and 11th grade holds team record for 11 dives (526.85) holds team and conference record for 6 dives (318.45) also dove with club teams: Twin City Divers and Minnesota Diving Academy.
Personal: Born December 19th 1991 to Charlie and Lisa Keefer has an older brother and sister, David and Emily participated in gymnastics for four years sister, Emily, dove at the University of Wyoming majoring in kinesiology.
