2012-13 Freshman Season: Competed in the 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle at the 2013 NCAA Championships (3/21) placed 32nd in the 1650 free (16:22.83) and 37th in the 500 free (4:45.67) Second Team All-Big Ten Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree earned a second-place finish in the 400 IM (4:10.30), a third-place finish in the 500 free (4:40.24) and a fifth-place finish in the 1650 free (16:15.96) at the 2013 Big Ten Championships (2/20) claimed the title in the 400 IM and finished second in the 100 breaststroke at the Minnesota Challenge (2/8)notched a third-place finish in the 500 free, a fourth-place finish in the 1000 free and a fifth-place finish as a member of the 800 free relay at the Big Ten Quad Duals (2/1) placed first in the 1650 free and second in the 500 free vs. North Dakota (1/25) finished second in the 1000 free at Hawaii (1/12), and third in the event vs. both Iowa (11/2) and Wisconsin (10/26).
High School: Swam for the Wild West Aquatic Club coached by Luke Egnaczak Harding, who swims for the Wild West Aquatic Club coached by Luke Egnaczak made the cut for the US Olympic trials in the 400 freestyle also made the USA Swimming Senior National cuts in the 500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle and the 400 individual medley placed 14th at the 2011 Junior National Championship in the 1500 freestyle as a member of the Las Cruces High School team, Harding was named a NISCA High School All-American and was crowned a New Mexico State High School Champion on multiple occasions.
