Competition of day two wraps up at the University Aquatic Center
2012-13 • Freshman Season:Placed third in the 100 back and fifth in both the 200 back and 200 IM at Kansas (10/20) •finished fourth in the 100 free as well as swimming in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay against Iowa State (10/12)• placed third in the 100 backstroke, fourth in the 200 backstroke, fifth in the 200 IM and was a member of the 200 medley relay team at Michigan (10/5).
High School: Was a member of the Lake Country Swim Team coached by Mark Kohnhorst • made the US Olympic trial cut in the 200 backstroke • also made the USA Swimming Senior National cuts in the 100 and 200 freestyle, the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke • as a member of the Arrowhead High School team, Pietila was named a NISCA High School All-American on multiple occasions and helped Arrowhead win the Wisconsin Division I State High School Championship in 2008, 2009 and 2010 • was a Wisconsin Division I State High School Champion as part of the 200 medley relay in 2009, the 200 freestyle relay in 2010 and the 100 Free, 200 IM and 200 Free Relay in 2011 • also won the silver medal in the 100 and 200 freestyle in 2008, the 100 freestyle in 2009 and the 200 individual medley in 2009 and 2010.
