2014-15 Freshman Season: Letter winner • Team Spirit Award • At the 2015 Big Ten Championships, Lorentzen finished 14th in the 1650 free, 18th in the 500 free and 45th in the 200 free (2/19-2/21) • Placed 2nd in the 400 IM and 8th in the 200 free at the 2015 Minnesota Challenge (2/7) • Placed 6th in the 500 free and 5th in the 1000 free during the Big Ten Triple Dual (1/30-1/31) • At N.C. State, Lorentzen finished 3rd in the 500 free and 4th in the 1000 free (1/23-1/24) • Finished 3rd in the 1000 free at Hawaii (1/7) • Placed 21st in the 200 IM, 24th in the 200 breast, 29th in the 50 free and 35th in the 100 fly at the 2014 Jean K. Freeman Invite (12/5-12/6) • At the 2014 Arena Grand Prix at Minneapolis, Lorentzen finished 6th in the 1650 free, 8th in the 500 free, 27th in the 200 free and 20th in the 400 IM (11/20-11/22) • Placed 8th in the 400 IM, 4th in the 500 free and 6th in the 1000 free at Florida (11/8) • Finished 4th in the 1000 free and 5th in the 500 free against Iowa (10/31) • Took 2nd in the 200 free vs. North Dakota (10/24) • Placed 4th in the 1000 free against Wisconsin (10/17) • Made collegiate debut at Arizona State where she finished 3rd in the 1000 free (10/4).

Training Change Pays off for Waddell


The South Dakota native became Minnesota's third Big Ten Freshman of the Year after a prolific conference meet.

Gophers Fourth at B1G as Zhou, Waddell Honored


Minnesota placed fourth at the conference meet and claimed the Big Ten Diver of the Championships and Freshman of the Year awards.
