Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships wraps up this evening
2012-13 • Sophomore Season:Finishedfourth in the 200 back at Kansas (10/20)• placed second in the 500 free (5:01.27) and was a member of the fourth place 400 free relay and fifth place 200 medley relay against Iowa State (10/12) • competed in the 100 back, 200 back and was a member of the 200 medley relay team at Michigan (10/5).
2011-12 • Freshman Season: Made her first appearance at the Big Ten Championships • placed 10th in the 200 backstroke with a personal-best time of 1:56.46 • also had personal bests in the 100 back (56.21) and 500 free (4:50.79) at the event • placed ninth in the 200 IM and 15th in the 50 free at the Minnesota Challenge (2/3-4) • finished second in the 200 backstroke at the Quad Duals (1/27-28) • had three fifth-place finishes at Missouri (1/14) • claimed the title in the 200 back (2:01.62) at Hawaii (12/31) • placed seventh in the 200-meter backstroke at the Minnesota Grand Prix • posted a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:01.13) and a fourth-place finish in the 100 backstroke (53.69) at Iowa (11/4) • finished second in the 200 backstroke, fourth in the 100 backstroke (57.55) and fifth as part of the 200 medley relay (1:47.94) at Wisconsin (10/28) • placed second in the 200 medley relay (1:46.54) and fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:53.97) vs. Kansas (10/25) • won the title in both the 100 and 200 backstoke events and posted second-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay at Iowa State (10/15) • placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:02.81), fourth in both the 100 backstroke (57.06) and 200 medley relay (1:47.29) and fifth in the 400 medley relay (3:54.12) at the Michigan dual (10/7-8) • CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention • awarded Minnesota's Team Spirit Award.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Gulf Coast High School • did not complete in high school swimming • four-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American • member of T2 Aquatics Swim Club.
PERSONAL: Major is undecided • daughter of Alex and Pegi Anton • has one brother, Christian • enjoys long boarding, playing guitar and playing with her cats • most memorable sports thrill was getting her Olympic Trial cut in 200 back and competing in the 2008 Olympic Trials.
