CHICAGO - The No. 12/13-ranked Minnesota softball team's game this Saturday (April 26) against Penn State at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium will air live on the Big Ten Network. The first pitch is slated for 3:05 p.m. CT. The contest will be the second game of the teams' three-game weekend series.
The Gophers come into the week with a 33-8 overall record with an 11-5 ledger in the Big Ten, good for a fourth-place standing in the conference. They are 19th in the latest RPI rankings.
Saturday's game will be the Maroon and Gold's fifth on BTN this season. The team swept Iowa in a doubleheader April 8 and fell twice to Michigan last weekend.
Before opening its series with PSU Friday at home at 6 p.m., Minnesota will take on North Dakota in a midweek doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
