MINNEAPOLIS -- Following its three-game sweep at Iowa last weekend, Minnesota's softball team received votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll this week. It marks the first time the Gophers have received votes in one of the two major polls this season.
Minnesota improved its record to 20-10 overall and 3-0 in the Big Ten by defeating the Hawkeyes by scores of 4-1 on Friday and 7-3 and 10-1 on Saturday. The Gophers have won 17 of their past 21 games, and play a three-game series at Northwestern this weekend.

Jamie Trachsel Tabbed to Lead Gophers Softball
Seven-year head coaching veteran and Minnesota native Jamie Trachsel has been selected to lead the Minnesota softball program.

Jessica Allister is leaving her position as the head coach of Golden Gopher softball to take the same position at her alma mater, Stanford.
