TEMPE, ARIZ. -- Minnesota fans interested in listening to the play-by-play from this afternoon's game at No. 3/3 Arizona State can hear the streamed broadcast via ASU's Blaze Sports Radio.

The first pitch for the game against the nationally-ranked Sun Devils (11-0) is tentatively scheduled for 2:15 p.m. CT, but could change based on the length of the game that precedes it.

Richardson Powers Minnesota Past Illinois State; Gophers Shutout by Arizona State The University of Minnesota softball team pulled a split on Saturday night at the Littlewood Classic. The Gophers shutdown a red-hot Illinois State squad to win 9-0 in five innings. The Maroon and Gold turned around to face defending National Champion and No. 5-ranked Arizona State, which ended as a shutout in favor of Arizona State, 12-0.

Minnesota (3-5) is 2-2 at the Littlewood Classic after a pair of wins versus Northern Iowa on Saturday. Junior pitcher Sara Moulton picked up victories in both games, throwing a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 5-0 win versus the Panthers yesterday afternoon. In the final game of the day on Saturday, Minnesota freshman first baseman Paige Palkovich hit a dramatic two-run home run off the left field foul pole with two outs in the sixth inning to give the Gophers a 3-1 win.

Arizona State has cruised to a 4-0 mark so far this weekend, defeating UNI (5-3) and Michigan State (9-2) on Friday, and following with wins against Illinois-Chicago (15-0) and Illinois State (7-1) on Saturday.
