MINNEAPOLIS – University of Minnesota Softball Camps announced that their winter camp will take place on Sunday, January 21. Camps will take place inside at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex. Campers will receive advanced instruction from the Gopher coaching staff.
Meet the Gopher Softball Camp Staff
Coach Jamie Trachsel has mentored 19 NFCA All-Region Players and four All-Americans. The Gophers new leader is one of the top rising coaching stars in NCAA Division I softball. Long known for her skills as a defensive technician, Trachsel brings her teaching prowess to the Gophers.
Coach Cat Heifner joins the Gophers after engineering one of the most consistent offenses in NCAA. Heifner has tutored three All-Americans, 23 NFCA Pacific All-Region winners and the 2011 National Home Run Champion. Her offense has ranked nationally since 2009.
Coach Piper Ritter was one of the most decorated Gopher hurlers to wear maroon and gold. As a coach, Ritter is considered one of the most accomplished pitching coaches nationally. Under Ritter's tutelage the Gopher pitching staff ranked third nationally in team ERA in 2017. Coach Ritter has mentored two All-Americans, two First-Team All-Region Pitchers, two B1G Freshman Pitchers of the Year, and one B1G Pitcher of the Year.

Offensive Camp: 10:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. ($90)
Defensive Camp: 1:45 p.m.-4:15 p.m. ($90)
Pitching Camp: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. ($75)
Catching Camp: 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. ($75)
