LAS VEGAS -- Minnesota's offense came to life, with eight runs and three home runs, but the Gophers gave up nine consecutive Louisville runs after tying the game, 6-6, and the No. 18/18 Cardinals won by a final of 16-8.

Kaitlyn Richardson, Bree Blanchette and Brandi McGregor each hit home runs for the Gophers.

Minnesota wraps up the tournament with a game against UNLV. More details to follow later.
