GET TO KNOW KELSEY KLUCAS:
Why the University of Minnesota?

Minnesota has a great academic reputation and offers nearly every degree imaginable. I knew that no matter what I majored in, I would come away with a degree that would be respected.

What is it like playing for Minnesota?
Playing for the University is a huge honor. It is a well respected institution in a great conference. The opportunity to represent the Gophers on and off the field is definitely something to be thankful for.

Favorite professor?
Currently, Susan Stafford ranks near the top of my list because she has done EVERYTHING! I am so impressed with the experience that she brings to the classroom, and it really brings legitimacy to whatever topic we are discussing.

Pregame rituals/superstitions?
I don't think of it as a ritual, but I did eat Lucky Charms before nearly every game last year.

First softball memory?
When I was 8-years old, I decided to catch a pop fly with my bare hand. I only have to learn that lesson once..

Favorite athlete of all-time?
Roger Federer. He has been great for so long and is such a class act. I just really respect him both as a person and as a player.

Game/reality show you would like to be on?
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. It would be nice to actually reap some benefit from all the useless knowledge that inhabits my brain.

If you could choose one person (past or present) to eat lunch with, who would it be?
President Obama. Right now he is the most powerful man in the World and holds the position to make some real changes. There is a lot I would like to discuss with him...in fact, it might have to turn into dinner as well.

Guilty pleasure song?
Let's go more general..guilty pleasure artist: Britney Spears
