Registration is open and slots are still available for this summer's Minnesota Soccer Camps, featuring instruction from the Gophers coaching staff as well as players and alumni.
Minnesota Soccer Camps offer the best environment possible for the development of female soccer players. Campers can choose between the highly successful Gopher Day Academy and the renowned Elite College Prep Camp. The popular Gopher Goalkeeping Academy will be offered at all sessions of camp.
The Gopher Day Academy was a smashing success last year. Girls ages 8-18 are eligible to attend in 2010. There are still two separate camps available this summer -- July 12-15, and July 19-22. Day Academies will run from 9am to 12 noon, Monday through Thursday. Players will be grouped according to age and ability. A great, enthusiastic training environment awaits players of all levels at the Gopher Day Academy.
Minnesota Soccer is also offering the Elite College Prep Camp for those female players ages 13-18 who are seriously considering college soccer. It will be held July 30 - August 1. This is an overnight camp, and players should expect a college level training environment complete with an introduction to all facets of being a division one soccer student-athlete.
All camps will be held at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium on the St. Paul campus. The staff will be made up of Gopher Soccer coaches, players, and alumni. Minnesota Soccer Camps offer the best environment in the central U.S. for campers to associate with female role models.
