One of the four captains this season • Started all twenty-one of the Gopher games within the season • Tallied first assist of the season in the Gophers 2-0 victory over South Dakota State University • Contributed two shots, both on goal in the match against Iowa (9/20) • Held the No.7 nationally-ranked team, Penn State to just one goal (10/3).

Helverson appeared in 20 games during her second season with the Golden Gophers • Missed the season opener against Toledo but played in every other game during the Gophers successful season • Led the Gophers with 34 shots with 15 shots on target • Had the second most points on the season for the 2013 campagin with four goals and two assists tallying 10 points • Assisted Ashley Pafko in her first career Gopher goal • Co-assisted senior Steph Brandt with one of the three goals against Jacksonville State University (9/15) with Simone Kolander • Scored the gamewinner against No. 7 Penn State in the 16th minute (assisted by Steph Brandt) • Recorded second game winner of the season with a goal in the 108th minute against Wisconsin to seal the Gophers NCAA fate • Finished the regular season with the Gophers lone goal against Illinois (10/31) • Career-high match shots with four during the Gophers win over Ole Miss and loss to Michigan State.

Freshman All-Big Ten • Key member of the defensive unit that tallied seven shutouts on the season • Started in 19 of 20 appearances on the season • Finished the year with two goals and two assists for six points • Scored one game-winning goal • Had a .385 shot on goal percentage, with 10 out of 26 shots being on target • Marked her first collegiate goal, the game-winner, in overtime against No. 24 South Carolina on Aug. 19 • Recorded her second goal against Bowling Green (8/30) • Served an assist to teammate Katie Thyken for the game-winning goal against Western Kentucky (9/3).
