WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT VANESSA...
John Wooden said, "Understanding that the good of the group comes first is fundamental to being a highly productive member of a team." Vanessa has embraced that sentiment during her four years on the varsity squad. How else could you explain the willingness of a star forward to move to defense for the good of the team? Not only did she switch positions, but she also earned All-Conference honors the next two years while playing in an unfamiliar role. If a coach is looking for a player with heart, focus, effort and commitment, they need to look no further than Vanessa. She will give you everything she has every minute she is on the field and will impress you with her complete commitment to her team and the game. Vanessa will be missed at DeLaSalle High School. We are proud of her and wish her the best as she moves on to the Golden Gophers." - Tim McDonald, DeLaSalle High School Coach
"Vanessa has really improved her skills and game immensely over the last year and I think she has only scratched the surface. She is very fast and has really worked hard to improve her foot skills. Vanessa also has a knack for scoring goals in big games. As Vanessa makes this next step she will continue to grow and show just how good she can be. A great kid and fantastic teammate." - Mark Yueill, Minnesota Thunder Academy Club Coach
"Vanessa will add to our depth either up top or in the back as we have seen her play in both positions. Up top, she has a knack for scoring goals and hunts the restraining line. In the back, she makes really good decisions with her distribution to help her team keep the ball and does a great job keeping play in front of her. We look forward to continuing to develop Vanessa this fall." - Minnesota Head Coach Stefanie Golan
