Head coach Wendy Davis' Minnesota rowing team has an exciting weekend ahead, as the Golden Gophers' top varsity 8+ boat will be competing in the Women's Championship Eights event at the 49th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass.
Minnesota will be among 39 entries in its lone event, which is set to begin at 2:06 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 20. The Women's Championship Eights field includes U.S. Rowing, along with a who's who of collegiate crew teams. Click Here during the regatta for a live webcast of the competition.
Since Minnesota has not competed at the Head of the Charles since its 1V8 finished 13th in 2007, the Gophers will start near the back of the pack. Minnesota is slated to start 35th in the 39-boat event.
When: Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20 (Minnesota competes Sunday)
