Members of the University of Minnesota women's rowing developmental camp had a successful weekend at the 2013 US Rowing Club National Championships in Camden, N.J., highlighted by the team of Katherine Windsor, Lynn Hodnett, Chelsea Miller, Tabitha Andelin and coxswain Maddie Alden winning the Women's Senior 4+ A Final with a time of 7:23.66.

"This is a great jumping off spot for the coming collegiate season," Minnesota head coach Wendy Davis said. "Last year we won the Intermediate four event, then went on to have the best collegiate season in five years. Now this summer we silver in the Intermediate event, and win the Senior (premier) event in the fours category. Everything points to an exciting '13-14 season for the Gophers."

The Gophers advanced to the final of the event for the first time after notching a time of 7:58.05 in the third heat of the semifinals Saturday morning.

Minnesota also placed second in the Women's Intermediate 4+ A Final earlier in the competition, with the boat of Windsor, Andelin, Miller, Sylvia Coleman and coxswain Alden finishing in 7:55.80.
