The University of Minnesota women's rowing novice team makes a return trip to San Diego, Calif., this weekend for the 40th San Diego Crew Classic on picturesque Mission Bay. The event begins Saturday morning and runs through Sunday afternoon.
The Gophers' first hit the water Saturday at 1:50 p.m. CT, for the Women's Collegiate Novice A race, and will go head-to-head against boats from California, USC, San Diego State, Sacramento State and Orange Coast College. The Women's Collegiate Novice C event will be the Maroon and Gold's second race of the day and will get underway at 2:10 p.m. CT. Minnesota's Second Novice Eight boat will race against teams from Washington, Virginia, Texas, Sacramento State and UC Davis.
The Women's Collegiate Novice Petite Final will get underway Sunday at 9:20 a.m. CT, and the Women's Collegiate Novice Grand Final is set for 1:10 p.m. CT.
Gophers to Visit Minnesota State Fair
Golden Gopher teams and coaches are scheduled to appear at the 2016 Minnesota State Fair Aug. 29-31.

Luedloff, a management information systems major in the Carlson School of Management from Waconia, Minn., worked as a technology consulting analyst for Accenture in Minneapolis.

Miller, a neuroscience major from St. Cloud, gained valuable professional and athletic experience in Boston this summer.
