Gophers Spend Winter Break in San Diego

Jan. 31, 2013

In advance of its spring season getting underway in just over a month, the University of Minnesota women's rowing team hit the road over winter break for its winter training trip in sunny San Diego, Calif.

Check out the video above to get an inside look at how the Gophers train prior to the season and to catch them having a little fun on the side, as well.

Minnesota will head back to San Diego on Feb. 8 and Feb. 10 for a scrimmage against the Toreros, before officially opening its spring campaign March 9-10 at the Oklahoma Invitational. The Gophers will compete against teams from host Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State, Tulsa and Central Oklahoma at the event.
