Women's track and field leads the way with 45 recognized individuals
Minnesota's varsity eight A boat finished secondin the main event.
The varsity 8+ will open the competition at 10:00 a.m.
The varsity squad returns to action Oct. 14 at the Head of the Rock in Rockford, Ill.
Races will take place at East River Flats Park.
2011-12 Sophomore Season: Defeated Kansas, Buffalo and Duke and competed against Virginia with the 2V4 at the Oak Ridge Invitational (3/17-18) ... Defeated Indiana and Ohio State as a member of the 2V4 at the Big Ten Double Dual (4/7) ... Defeated San Diego, Northeastern, Penn State and Michigan State as a member of the First Varsity Four at the Virginia Invitational (4/14-15) ... Defeated Wisconsin with the 1V4 in the Home Dual vs. the Badgers (4/29) ... placed fifth in the Big Ten Championships with the 1V4 (5/13) ... Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
2010-11 Freshman Season: Competed with the First Novice Eight throughout the season ... placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships (5/15) ... rowed against the Badgers at the Wisconsin Dual (5/1) ... also competed against Michigan and Michigan State at the Big Ten Double Duals (4/9) ... placed first vs. Tennessee at the Tennessee Dual (3/20).
High School: Graduated with honors from Henry Sibley High School in 2009 ... earned six athletic letters in both cross country and track and five letters in nordic skiing ... was a five-time all-conference selection in nordic skiing and was twice named all-conference in both cross country and track ... earned the Athena Award and was named Henry Sibley's Most Valuable Senior Female Athlete ...
