2016-17 | JUNIOR Academic All-Big Ten selection • finished First in Varsity 8+ in Head of the Mississippi (10/01) • competed in the 2V8 at Cardinal Invitational (3/11), 2V8 at Doc Hosea Invitational (4/2), 2V8 at Big Ten Double Duel (4/8), 2V8 at Clemson Invitational (4/22-4/23) and 2V8 at Big Ten Championships (5/14) during the spring season.
2015-16 | SOPHOMORE Academic All-Big Ten selection and CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award winner • finished seventh in Varsity 8+ and finished eighth in Varsity 4+ at the Head of the Des Moines (9/26) • competed with the Second Varsity Eight and earned a pair of first place and a second place finish (3/13) • claimed two first place finishes with the Second Varsity Eight at the Doc Hosea Invitational (4/2-4/3) • earned a pair of first place finishes with the Second Varsity Eight vs. Iowa and Indiana (4/9) • earned two second place finishes at Wisconsin with the Second Varsity Eight (4/23) • finished second with the Second Varsity Eight at the Border Battle Regatta (5/1) • placed sixth with the Second Varsity Eight at Big Ten Championships (5/15).
2014-15 | FRESHMAN Began her novice career racing with the first novice eight at the Head of the Mississippi (10/3) and the Head of the Rock (10/12) • finished seventh in the grand final with the second novice eight at the San Diego Crew Classic (3/29) • raced with the 2N8 at the Big Ten Double Dual (4/11) • finished freshman season racing with the third varsity four at the Big Ten Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL A 2014 graduate of Zimmerman High School • earned varsity letters in swimming, Nordic skiing and track and field under coaches Luke Johnston, Kritsen Anderson and Jenelle Leblanc, respectively • was also a letterwinner with the LINK crew team • as a member of the swimming team, she earned all-conference honors in 2013 and was an academic state champion in 2010 • member of the National Honor Society • received outstanding academic achievement awards in track and field and DECA in 2011 and 2012 • also earned academic gold standards in swimming and Nordic skiing from 2010-13.
PERSONAL Born May 5, 1996 to parents Tom and Charlotte Sterneman • has three older siblings, Andrew, Abigail and Albin • plans to major in graphic design and minor in marketing • her father, Tom, played basketball at Crown College from 1979-82 • her brother, Andrew, played football at Crown College • her sister, Abigail, competed in swimming and diving at Asbury University • her brother, Albin, currently plays football at University of Northwestern - St. Paul • hobbies include photography, boating, spending time with family, working with children and volunteering •plans to major in graphic design with a minor in mass communication.
