Despite falling short of an NCAA three-peat, the Gophers enjoyed a highly successful and exciting 2013-14 campaign, which included the program’s sixth WCHA Final Face-off title and eighth WCHA regular season title, the program’s first-ever outdoor game in the Hockey City Classic at TCF Bank Stadium and the program’s 10th NCAA Frozen Four appearance. Moment #1 - Gophers Advance to Third-Straight Title Game with Rally vs. Wisconsin
The Gophers rallied past Wisconsin in a 5-3 comeback win to advance to the 2014 NCAA Women’s Frozen Four national championship game on March 21, 2014. Minnesota scored three unanswered goals in the third period, rallying from 3-2 and 1-0 deficits, and sophomore Amanda Leveille tied her career-best with 34 saves. Sophomore Hannah Brandt, senior Kelly Terry and freshman Dani Cameranesi each recorded two points to lead the Gophers.
