MINNEAPOLIS - The Golden Gophers wish all of their fans a happy Thanksgiving. GopherSports.com caught up with the Minnesota women's hockey team to find out what the Gophers are thankful for this Thanksgiving Day.
Rachael Bona: I would say that I am thankful for my family, friends and the ability to play hockey on such an amazing team and have so many great experiences. I am also thankful for my GWH family!
Bethany Brausen: I am thankful that I will walk away from college with a world class education, an amazing hockey experience, and having been pushed to be a better person every day during the process. I am thankful for friends, family and faith. I am thankful for the teammates that have turned into friends, and the friends that turned into family.
Dani Cameranesi: I am thankful for my family, friends, and the opportunity I have to lace up my skates every day and play the game I love.
Kelsey Cline: I am thankful for the opportunity to play at the University of Minnesota and receive an education here, but I am also more thankful for the teammates I have. I don't think any team is as close as ours, and these girls aren't only 20 of your best friends but they are your sisters, too.
Sarah Davis: I'm thankful for PBJ - wouldn't be able to get through without it.
Baylee Gillanders: I'm thankful for my family and teammates. I'm thankful for my inability to pin point a few things that I am thankful for because there are so many.
Paige Haley: I am thankful for my family and the support they have shown me throughout the years, especially during my first year at college. I am also thankful for my coaches and teammates. I love my new second family!
Amanda Leveille: I'm really thankful for the opportunity to wake up every day and play the sport I love the most, hockey, but the best part of that is being able to do it with the teammates and coaching staff that we have here at the U.
Meghan Lorence: I am thankful to have the opportunity to be a Gopher and to wear the "M" on a daily basis. Going to the rink everyday with teammates and coaches who have become family, while working towards a goal that we all share, it is truly special and something I wouldn't trade for anything.
Milica McMillen: I am really grateful to be a part of such a special team that is like family on and off the ice. Everyone always takes care of each other and I am blessed to be a part of that.
Sidney Peters: I am thankful for every opportunity I get to put on a Gopher hockey jersey and play the best sport in the world with an incredible group of individuals. It is a wonderful thing to be able to wake up in the morning knowing that I will be spending my day doing what I enjoy, but it is an even greater thing that I am able to spend my time with people that I love.
Kate Schipper: I am thankful for the amazing support system that I have with family and friends!
Kelly Terry: I am thankful for playing on such an amazing team with amazing people... oh and for Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Head coach Brad Frost: I am thankful for my faith, my awesome family, health, friends and the opportunity to coach great young women on a daily basis at this incredible University. I am so grateful.
Assistant coach Joel Johnson: I'm thankful for the relationships I have in my life and the countless blessings that come from them. First and foremost is my personal faith, then my beautiful and truly amazing wife. After that, my crazy, wonderful, inspiring kids who make every day a joy filled journey. I'm grateful for my parents and the consistent influence they have in my life and the life of my kids. I'm grateful for my sister and her family and all that they do for me. I'm also grateful for other close family members, friends, mentors, and colleagues in many areas of my life who help guide me, encourage me, hold me accountable, and make me laugh. Lastly, I'm thankful for my dog, because he never talks back and greets me with a smile every morning.
Athletic trainer Debbie Dalsin: I am thankful for being given the opportunity to be surrounded by a fantastic group of people who care so deeply for each other.
