MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota women's hockey team will hold its annual preseason media day on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Head coach Brad Frost and co-captain Sydney Baldwin will meet with media to preview the 2017-18 season.
The press conference will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Ridder Arena Club Room. Frost and Baldwin will speak to the media and take questions.
Additional players will be available after the press conference and before the team's practice, which begins at 2:45 p.m. Practice will be open to the media. Media should contact Mandy Hansen to request specific player availability.

The Gophers were selected as the WCHA preseason favorite in the annual preseason poll of the league's head coaches. Minnesota begins the 2017-18 season with a free exhibition game against Korea on Sunday, Sept. 24 before the team's official season-opening series against Merrimack at Ridder Arena on Friday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 1.
