Despite falling short of an NCAA three-peat, the Gophers enjoyed a highly successful and exciting 2013-14 campaign, which included the program's sixth WCHA Final Face-off title and eighth WCHA regular season title, the program's first-ever outdoor game in the Hockey City Classic at TCF Bank Stadium and the program's 10th NCAA Frozen Four appearance. #8: Kelly Terry's Hat Trick Sends Gophers to Frozen Four
Senior Kelly Terry recorded a hat trick to propel the Gophers to a 5-1 win over Boston University in the NCAA quarterfinals and secure Minnesota's berth into the Frozen Four. The Gophers knocked off the Terriers in a rematch of the 2013 NCAA championship game at Ridder Arena on March 15, 2014.
Terry scored the first goal of the game at 12:56 of the first period, her 19th goal of the season. She then helped seal the Gophers' victory with two goals in the third period.
