Despite falling short of an NCAA three-peat, the Gophers enjoyed a highly successful and exciting 2013-14 campaign, which included the program's sixth WCHA Final Face-off title and eighth WCHA regular season title, the program's first-ever outdoor game in the Hockey City Classic at TCF Bank Stadium and the program's 10th NCAA Frozen Four appearance. #9: Hannah Brandt's Hat Trick Tops Buckeyes
Gophers' sophomore and Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award top-3 finalist Hannah Brandt scored a hat trick to help Minnesota defeat Ohio State 6-0 at home on Jan. 10, 2014. Brandt netted her 11th, 12th and 13th goals of the season in the win and scored all three goals before the second period ended.
Brandt opened up the scoring for the Gophers at 2:03 in the first period, before scoring again on a power play before the period was over. She completed the hat trick early in the second period after a scramble in front of the net.
