MINNEAPOLIS - The Gopher women's hockey team had another memorable season in 2017-18, finishing with a record of 24-11-3 and making the program's 11th-straight and 16th overall appearance in the NCAA postseason.

Take a look back at some of the highlights from Minnesota's 2017-18 season by the numbers.

4 -- The Gophers scored four shorthanded goals this season as Cara Piazza (two), Olivia Knowles, and Katie Robinson all found the back of the net on the penalty kill.

5 -- Senior Cara Piazza scored a team-high five game-winning goals this season. Over half of Piazza's nine goals were game-winners.

7 -- Minnesota won the program's seventh WCHA postseason title by taking down Ohio State and Wisconsin in the WCHA Final Faceoff this year.

8 -- Eight Gophers won medals at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Senior Kelly Pannek and alumnae Hannah Brandt ('16), Dani Cameranesi ('17), Amanda Kessel ('16), Gigi Marvin ('09), and Lee Stecklein ('17) won gold with 2018 U.S. Women's Olympic Team, and alumnae Noora Räty ('13) and Mira Jalosuo ('13) won bronze with Team Finland.

9 -- Nine Gophers were honored as WCHA Scholar-Athletes in Sidney Peters, Cara Piazza, Sydney Baldwin, Nicole Schammel, Taylor Williamson, Serena D'Angelo, Tianna Gunderson, Patti Marshall, and Alex Woken.

12 -- Twelve Gophers were honored as WCHA All-Academic Team honorees in Sydney Baldwin, Serena D'Angelo, Tianna Gunderson, Patti Marshall, Sidney Peters, Cara Piazza, Caitlin Reilly, Nicole Schammel, Sophie Skarzynski, Sierra Smith, Taylor Williamson, and Alex Woken.

16 -- Minnesota made its 11th-straight and 16th overall appearance in the NCAA postseason this year.

18 -- The Gophers posted a record of 18-2-2 when scoring the first goal of the game this year.

21 -- The 2017-18 season marked the 21st season of Gopher women's hockey.

38 -- Freshman Grace Zumwinkle led the team in scoring with 38 points (17g-21a) in 38 games played during the 2017-18 season.

42 -- The second period was Minnesota's highest-scoring period as the Gophers scored 42 second-period goals this season compared to 36 in the first period and 37 in the third period.

53 -- Sidney Peters wrapped up her Gophers career with an overall record of 53-17-6; her 53 wins and 16 shutouts both rank fifth among all-time Gopher goaltenders.

81 -- Sydney Baldwin finished her career with 81 points (24g-57a), tied for 10th in career points among all-time Gopher defense.

104 -- Sydney Baldwin led the team with 104 blocked shots this season.

119 -- The Gophers scored 119 goals during the 2017-18 season.

268 -- At the close of the 2017-18 season, Minnesota has a record of 268-42-21 at Ridder Arena since the facility opened in 2002-03.

313 -- The Gophers combined for 313 total points during the 2017-18 season.

343 -- Head coach Brad Frost wrapped up his 11th season at the helm of the program with a career record of 343-64-30.

602 -- Sidney Peters made 602 saves during the 2017-18 season.

621 -- In 21 seasons of Gopher women's hockey, the program has an overall record of 621-131-52.
