Head coach Brad Frost, senior captain Megan Bozek and freshman Hannah Brandt addressed the media today regarding their advancement to the 2013 Frozen Four.
The University of Minnesota women's hockey team defeated North Dakota in a triple-overtime game to advance to their second consecutive and ninth overall NCAA Frozen Four appearance. The top-ranked Gophers (39-0-0) host No. 4 Boston College Friday night at 5 p.m.
The 2013 Frozen Four will be held at Ridder Arena on March 22 & 24. It is the second time Ridder has hosted the event. The arena, which holds 3,400 fans, is completely sold out this weekend.
Along with the Gophers and the Eagles, Mercyhurst and Boston University are the other two schools making up the Frozen Four field. Those two teams will faceoff Friday night at 8 p.m. The winners of each semifinal game will advance to the NCAA Championship game, which is slated for Sunday at 3 p.m.
