MINNEAPOLIS - No. 1 Minnesota will host Boston University in the quarterfinals of the 2014 National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Championship. The Gophers are the top seed in the championship and earned the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's automatic bid into the tournament as WCHA Final Face-off champions.

The Gophers and Terriers face off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 at Ridder Arena. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. CT on Monday, March 10, on mygophersports.com or by phone at 612-624-8080 or 1-800-U-Gopher.

The quarterfinal game is a rematch of the 2013 NCAA championship game, in which Minnesota defeated Boston University, 6-3, for their second-consecutive national title.

Minnesota is making its 12th appearance in the NCAA postseason and has qualified for the tournament for the seventh consecutive year. The Gophers enter the 2014 championship as back-to-back national champions and are on a 24-game unbeaten streak (23-0-1).

NCAA Quarterfinal Match-Ups
No. 1 seed Minnesota hosts Boston University.
No. 4 seed Wisconsin hosts Harvard.
No. 2 seed Cornell hosts Mercyhurst.
No. 3 seed Clarkson hosts Boston College.

The quarterfinal winners advance to the 2014 NCAA Women's Frozen Four, which will be hosted by Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., March 23-25.

Frozen Four semifinal games will be played at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT, Friday, March 21. The championship game will be played at 2 p.m. CT, Sunday, March 23. All three games will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
