A reminder to all University of Minnesota women’s hockey fans that games times for this weekend’s series against Minnesota Duluth is different than stated on the schedule cards and posters. Due to Saturday’s game being on Big Ten Network, both games have been changed to accommodate both schools.
Friday’s game against the Bulldogs has been moved to 6 p.m., while Saturday’s will begin at 2:30 p.m. and be live on BTN.
The Gophers (26-0-0, 20-0-0 WCHA) need just two points to clinch the WCHA regular season title, so a win in regulation or a win in a shootout would crown them league champions. If the two points are garnered on Friday, it would be the fastest any WCHA team has clinched the regular season title.
Minnesota, who has won an NCAA record 34 consecutive games, returns home for the first time in two weeks to face rival UMD.
