The Gopher women's hockey team and M.A.G.I.C (Maroon and Gold Impacting the Community) held its annual Teddy Bear Toss during the Jan. 11 game against Ohio State.

With teddy bears littering the ice in the second and third periods, the Gopher women's hockey team collected 395 stuffed animals, which benefitted the Toys for Tots organization.

The program increased its donation from last year as the team accepted 200 teddy bears. Staff members collected the bears from the ice and members of the Gopher women's hockey team delivered them to a local Toys for Tots collection site.
