The Gopher women's hockey team shared some of their favorite moments from the 2017-18 season
A total of 161 University of Minnesota student-athletes were honored by the Big Ten Conference on the Academic All-Big Ten Team for spring and at-large sports.

Sidney Peters leads Minnesota honorees as a four-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete
2017-18 • Sophomore Season: Named WCHA Scholar-Athlete and WCHA All-Academic honoree • recorded 17 points (2g-15a) in 38 games played • ranked third on the team with 55 blocked shots • had 11 points (1g-10a) in the first 12 games of the season • tied career high with three assists in season-opening series split with Merrimack (Sept. 29-Oct. 1) • scored a goal in 4-3 overtime win at Bemidji State (Oct. 14) • named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week after recording her second-straight multi-point series (3a) in a road sweep at Minnesota Duluth (Oct. 20-21) • recorded two points (1g-1a) in 4-1 WCHA First Round win over St. Cloud State (Feb. 24).
2016-17 • Freshman Season: Made collegiate debut in season-opener against Lindenwood (Sept. 30) • tied for fourth on the team with two game-winning goals • ranked fourth on the team with a +27 plus/minus rating • tallied first career assist in 3-1 win at Bemidji State (Oct. 7) • scored her first career goal on the power play in the 4-3 win against UMD (Oct. 14) • recorded three assists, including a game-winning assist, in series sweep at Ohio State (Oct. 21-22) • tallied an assist in the 3-0 win against St. Cloud State (Oct. 28) • had an assist in 8-1 win against Minnesota State (Nov. 6) • assisted Kelly Pannek’s game-winning goal against Ohio State (Jan. 20) • posted one assist in the 5-3 win at Minnesota State (Feb. 4) • posted two assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in the 6-2 win against North Dakota (Feb. 11) • scored the game-winning goal in the 3-1 WCHA First Round win against Bemidji State (Feb. 24) • scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win in the NCAA quarterfinal against Minnesota Duluth (March 11).
High School/Club: Played for Shattuck-St. Mary's School under coaches Gordon Stafford and Melissa Boik • won national championships in 2013, 2014, and 2016 and finished as runners-up in 2015 with Shattuck • finished her senior season with 31 points (10g-21a) in 48 games • member of the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team • participated in three IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championships and winning gold in 2015 and 2016 and taking silver in 2014 • participated in three Under-18 Series vs. Canada • three-time USA Hockey Women's National Festival invitee • named all-state honorable mention and all-conference honoree while playing for Thief River Falls High School as an eighth grader in 2011-12.
