2010-11 • Sophomore Season:WCHA All-Academic Team honoree • Letterwinner • Played in all 38 games this season • Eighth on the team in scoring with 14 goals and five assists for 19 points • Improved her point production by five and her plus/minus rating by +14 • Her 14 goals scored is fifth on the team • Four multiple-point games, three of which were multiple-goal games • Opened her sophomore season with a goal against Clarkson (10/1) • Netted three goals in the series sweep over St. Cloud State (10/22-23), including two power-play goals • Tallied a career-high three points in the 6-2 win over Minnesota State (11/20) • Assisted on a power-play and even-strength goal in the series sweep over Harvard (11/26 & 28) • Scored two goals in the Gophers' 8-1 win at Ohio State (1/22) • Netted her first-collegiate short-handed goal in the 3-1 loss to Wisconsin (1/29) • Notched two goals in the series sweep over St. Cloud State, including the game-winner in the 4-1 win (2/5).

2009-10 • Freshman Season:In her rookie season produced four goals and 10 assists for 14 points • Of her 14 points, nine came in the second half of the season • Centered the line with Laura May and Chelsey Jones the entire season • Held a .523 win in the faceoff circle • Of her four goals, three were unassisted plays • Was +3 on the season • Tallied her first collegiate point in the 4-1 win over Syracuse (10/4) and her first collegiate goal in the 6-5 win over Ohio State (10/9) • Held her first multiple-point game of her career in the 7-0 win over St. Cloud State (10/24) and held the first assists • Held the first assist in Kelly Seeler's goal in the 4-0 win over Clarkson (11/27) • Scored a goal in the 6-0 win against Ohio State (1/9) • Added a goal and an assist in the 4-2 win over Minnesota State (1/29) • Made a perfect setup for Chelsey Jones' game-winning goal over Wisconsin (2/20) to help win the WCHA regular season championship • Had her best point-production game of the season when she scored an unassisted goal and tallied two assists for a three-point game in the first round of the WCHA playoffs (2/26) • Tallied an assist during Laura May's double overtime, game-winning goal in the 5-4 win over OSU to send the Gophers to the WCHA Championship game (3/6).

The Kortum File:Played with Hopkins High School • 2009 Ms. Hockey recipient • Led the Royals in scoring as a senior with 43 goals, 28 assists for 71 points • Held the school record for points • Helped Hopkins to a second-place finish at its first state tournament appearance since 1997 • Named to the all-tournament team after finishing tied for first among all scorers with four goals and three assists • Had three- and four-point games in the tournament, and scored Hopkins' final goal in the 5-3 loss to Stillwater in the championship game • Named the 2009 Minnesota Female Hockey Player of the Year by the Associated Press and the Star Tribune • As a junior, led the Hopkins to a Classic Lake Conference title when she scored a team and league-high 37 goals and 59 points • Also led the Royals and the Classic Lake conference in goals with 28 and finished second overall in points (41) as a sophomore • On the varsity program since eighth grade and accumulated 212 points in her high school career • A four-time all-conference and two-time all-state honoree • Named the Royals' Offensive MVP for three consecutive seasons • A member of the National Honor Society and a four-time academic letterwinner • Attended the USA Hockey National Development camp from 2007-2009.
