MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota women's gymnastics team dropped one spot to 12th in the most recent GymInfo National Rankings, which are based on teams' average scores.
The Golden Gophers were ranked No. 23 in the preseason poll, but debuted last week at No. 11 in the first regular season ranking, and remain in the top 12 this week following their first-place finish at Penn State on Saturday. Minnesota scored 195.525 points to finish ahead of No. 23 Kent State (195.450), Penn State (194.300), and Towson (192.175).
Minnesota is among four Big Ten programs ranked in the Top 25. Michigan tops the list at No. 1, while defending champion Nebraska is sixth, Minnesota is 12th, and Ohio State is 19th.
The Gophers play host to top-ranked Michigan, No. 20 Central Michigan and Iowa State on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Sports Pavilion.

Gophers Qualify for NCAA Regionals
The University of Minnesota women’s gymnastics team has qualified for NCAA Regionals for the 22nd-straight year.
