The University of Minnesota women's golf team is in 11th place after two rounds of the Lady Northern in East Lansing, Mich. The Gophers shot rounds of 321-309=630 and trail tournament leader Michigan State by 33 shots. The final round is tomorrow at the par 72, 6,136-yard Forest Akers Golf Club.
Individually, Minnesota was led by senior Samantha Braschler, who fired a second round 75 and is tied for 31st at 11-over 155. Junior Kelli Berns carded a second round 76 and is tied for 38th at 13-over 157 with teammate sophomore Young Na Lee. Lee fired rounds of 80-77 today. Freshmen Anne Martin and Leslie Grabeman are tied for 60th at 21-over 165. Freshman Christine Herzog is tied for 65th at 22-over 165.
