toThe University of Minnesota women's golf team finished 12th at the Lady Northern Inviational in Ann Arbor, Mich., Sunday. The Gophers fired rounds of 310-316-324=950 (+86) to finish 69 shots behind tournament winner Michigan.

Individually, Minnesota was led by senior Terra Petsinger who finished tied for 36th at 233 (+17). Sophomore Samantha Braschler tied for 42nd at 235 (+ 19). Junior Sarah Butler carded the best round by a Gopher in the third round with a 78 and moved up to a tie for 52nd at 238 (+22). Sophomore Louise Fleming tied for 77th at 248 (+32) . Freshman Kelli Berns tied for 86th at 255 (+39) and freshman Emily Brand tied for 89th at 257 (+41).

The Gophers host the Minnesota Invitational next weekend Sept. 18-19 at the Les Bolstad University of Minnesota Golf Course. Saturday's first two rounds begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
