teamIndiana closed the gap with Big Ten Championship leader Ohio State to four strokes after the third round of action at the Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind., Saturday. The Hoosiers turned in a team total of 311 to stand at 941 after 54 holes. The Buckeyes tallied 314 in the third round and leads with 937.

Minnesota stands in ninth place at 973, after a score of 328 on Saturday. Seven strokes separate fifth through ninth place in the team standings.

Ohio State's Natalie Mosher carded a 1-over par 73 to jump into a three-way tie for the individual lead at 228. Mosher is tied with defending medalist Erin Carney of Indiana and Amber Amstutz of Ohio State.

Minnesota's top golfer is senior Melanie Lepp. Lepp fell from third place to fifth with an 82 on Saturday for a total of 234.

Other Gophers competing are Michelle Ballou tied for 29th at 246 (78-85-83), Donna Boom tied for 33rd at 247 (84-84-79), Kristi Weichert 40th at 249 (81-83-85), Jenny Bruun tied at 48th at 254 (84-86-84) and Katie Bakken tied for 51st at 256 (88-83-85).

The Big Ten Championships will conclude with the final 18 holes on Sunday.
