After two rounds of the Mountview Collegiate, the University of Minnesota women’s golf team sits in fifth place at the 18 team tournament in Tucson, Arizona.  The Gophers posted 287 and 298 respectively and is currently 16 shots back of first place Iowa State entering the final round.

Teresa Puga posted rounds of 70 and 74 consecutively and sits in a tie for seventh place with 18 holes to play. Mary Narzisi and Jackie Shepherd are only one back of Puga with two round scores of 145, while Michele Edlin is tied for 45th after carded a 72 and 79 in rounds one and two.  Pai Banchalee is in 79th following a 78 and 81 respectively.

Iowa state leads with 18 holes to play after tallying seven-under-par (569), with Oklahoma and Arkansas (578) tied in second. Colorado is in fourth with a score of 583.
